I do not see why everybody hates this game. It was the first medley game and it is good for being made quickly. If you don't mind some strange screens, then I would suggest you play it.

Probably the last update I'll make for this review.
Extremely old fangame and the first actual medley game. It's clear that the 'production value' is heavily lacking: Visuals aren't very impressive for the most part, lacks the title cards that would be introduced to the fangame world later on, and there are plenty of small bugs and glitches here and there. Restarting music doesn't help either.
On the other hand, this game's strong points are marked very clearly as well. The difficulty curve is close to flawless. The game starts with a tutorial stage, consisting of easy screens that allow the player to get used to the game, and gradually goes up and up, in a way that allows even a complete beginner to take it on, and before you can notice it, you're making your way through relatively advanced jumps and tricky bosses.
The visuals might not be the greatest, but they hit spot-on at the bosses. The background shows bits of the previous screens in the stage, in a way that actually looks good. The bosses themselves are mostly good as well. They don't waste your time with long, repetitive attacks, every second means a new attack. The fights are really fast-paced, but still challenging. Solgryn's first phase is the only exception I can think of, I think that the game could do very well if the Sadist Bee and GR's last boss were to appear at another point of the fight. Speaking of Solgryn, it's also weird that from the second phase to the last phase, he's the only guy to appear in the whole fight. It's not a bad fight, but it feels off, compared to the other fights so far.
Kamilia is a particularly brilliant fight, and probably one of my favorite fangame bosses. First off, she's a Kid-like character. She really feels like a Kid who finally achieved supreme power (Enough to warp space and time, as it's seen through the whole game). Very impressive. The fight lives up to the concept: In the first phase, she'll teleport you through the previous stages while using the powers from the previous bosses. When she realizes that the old attacks aren't working, she'll use her own powers, and summon all the sorts of obstacles in order to kill you. Finally, at the second phase, you'll be fighting against her while falling, and she'll once again make huge efforts to kill you, but in the end neither of you will actually be able to kill your opponent. It's also interesting that your bullets don't work against her, which proves that your Kid is still too weak to defeat her. That's what made room for K2 and K3 to be made, I guess.
I feel like a remake would be very healthy to this game, as most of its issues regard visual stuff and glitches. The stages are well designed and the bosses are enjoyable. I like it, and I highly recommend it to anyone who is trying to get into fangames.

I actually like this game. Even though it's coding and programming is right next to boshy's in effort, I find it fun.

This game...oh boy. I can't completely hate it, since it did spawn K2 and K3, two of my favorite fangames, but...this one sucks. I can't lie. Most of the screens are absolute garbage, even when the games they take from have much better screens (read: Conquer the Blow). Stages 1 and 2 have no challenge, and 3 is quite a leap, especially the Magic Girl screen. Boss 3 is a bit tricky, but still not that much of a challenge. Then, the game picks up a bit. The fourth stage is only harder by a fraction, but Geezer is a huge leap in difficulty from the third boss. Fortunately, you get a save in the middle...so long as you don't go to the title screen or quit the game. Nice one. Truthfully, the only thing keeping Geezer from being piss-easy is the Gradius phase, and only then because of the yellow apples that create more in a spiral. Next is stage 5, which is only five screens long. The last one is Brute, but there are about 3 times as many saves and no save blockers, meaning the hardest thing here is a double corner. Solgryn was almost fun, but the "boss rush" (Sadist's bee and GR's second boss) just didn't need to be there. I quite enjoyed the Gradius segment in this boss, though, so props to OyO for that. Finally, M-stage. It's nothing. It's just blocks with a stupid spotlight gimmick. However, the final boss is where this game peaks. It starts with references to the earlier stages, even changing the backgrounds. Then, you get a save, and you have an infjump segment where you dodge spikes and bullets thrown in fancy patterns until you and Kamilia fall out of the sky and into the ocean, where your journey into the sequel begins.

Overall, this game could have been decent, but the production value is just too terrible to make it enjoyable. Again, I do have to give it credit for spawning medley games, since I do enjoy those quite a bit.
