Some screens from Hunyuu Punpun offer some of the best level design I have seen and some screens are pretty bad...but not bad enough to not recommend this game. It's a pretty fun challenge, but maybe just a bit too flashy.

Well it's short. It uses the generic tile set and is nothing special in terms of platforming. There are a few sections that can be a little difficult, but nothing crazy. Not really worth the play through.

I wanted to wait to review this, but I won't be getting through the final area any time soon so I'm doing it anyway.
This has quickly become one of my favorite games. Most of the jumps are interesting and, more importantly, fun to execute. The tougher saves were enjoyable to grind and sometimes even felt educational. There are some very precise jumps, but nothing too unreasonable or over-the-top. I'm tempted to recommend it to people who might not feel comfortable with high-level needle but want to push themselves in that direction, as that's how I went into it.
That said, the final area is significantly harder and I have not beaten it. The platforming itself is pretty consistent with the rest of the game, but the saves are 2-3 times as long. I think that's appropriate and it gives me something to work toward, but I'm definitely not there yet. So take this review with a grain of salt, I guess.

Fantastic platforming, gorgeous backgrounds and tilesets, great music. A ton of unique jumps and clever segments. The jump sound can be a little annoying, and there are a couple of dumb saves, as you'd expect from a game like this. But easily one of my favorite needle games. Wonderfully designed and produced. A joy to play.
