This is a hard game without being cheap. If you are highly skilled, then I would suggest you play it.

For: I wanna Sunspike
I just cleared Sunspike shortly before writing up this review, so I apologize in advance for the typos.
Where to begin?
The Kid starts off in a basic easy needle area. This start to Sunspike does not set the tone for the later game, but eases you into it.
Next area gets slightly harder and has a nice little temple feel to it.
This next area shoves itself into the game, with no transition to back it up. Maybe it was for a feeling of exiting the temple and setting foot outside. Also it gets harder. Who woulda thought?
Now, the next area is where the game actually gets hard for less-skilled or new players. The game goes for a dark, tech feel, which is really quite neat.
After you've cleared that, you enter the REAL game. Where the difficulty REALLY ramps up. You enter the futuristic areas, with neon spikes, changing depending on what stage you're in.
The final boss is IA. This is actually not where most of my hours went into. I spent around 4 hours on the final screen, and only 3 hours on the actual boss. Not to say the boss is easy, it's really quite a challenge and requires a lot of memorizing.
Quality 9/10
Enjoyment 9/10

Pretty solid game. There was one part near the end with a bad gimmick but other than that it was pretty good. I dont trust myself to make a correct difficulty rating but it was easy. Visuals were alright. I liked it.

This was an interesting experiment involving IWBTG and cookie clicker. It will only take you about 3 minutes to finish and I think it is worth a try.

Despite being a simple straightforward game, this is probably my favourite fangame of the year so far.
I found the stages to be really well executed in pretty much every aspect. The music, the visuals and the level design all combine perfectly to make each stage's theme stand out. There's also some pretty good gimimicks and traps.
The bosses are very solid aswell. They aren't a memory test and RNG is well used to make the fights more varied without making them luck based. They can be beaten within few tries, which is something newer players would probably appreciate.
The only flaws I can point out are the RNG in the wind of Stage 1 and the difficulty curve not being very consistent in Stages 2 and 4 where there's a few difficulty spikes. I guess you could probably add that some traps are kinda meh, but they're generally pretty good. Excellent game overall.
