I played up to the first boss. I beat Viridian. Then I got insta-gibbed.

Terrible design, an obvious Kamilia clone. Awful screen choices with poor visuals. The first boss was actually enjoyable, despite the obvious clone picks from K2/K3's first bosses, until the insta-gib avoidance. All enjoyment goes out the window. Whatever "testers" he picked for this game only told him what he wanted to hear throughout their play sessions.

This will be the last game I ever open from PDPlayer, and I hope no one actually thinks this game is worthy of being played past the title screen.

Now. Granted I haven't beaten this quite yet, I'm almost halfway through bossrush, which is almost the entire beta, I have some opinions on the game.

I think the game is quite good. To me, anyone saying "k3 ripoff bad game" (not pointing fingers, of course) is just being pretty dumb. Just because something isn't original, doesn't mean it's not a good game. I thoroughly enjoyed the game up to bossrush, and, surprisingly, still enjoying it. This is not me saying bossrush is good. Either way, just because the game is similar to k3 doesn't mean it's bad. I like most of the platforming in this game, there are a few screens which are... pretty much god awful, but that's okay, every medley has their shit screens. The bosses were surprisingly... very enjoyable! I thought boss 1 was quite fun (the avoidance kinda blows but thats ok, it doesnt take long to learn, since the rest of the boss is rather easy). The 2nd boss has remnants of K3s Influka Area, and that's what everyone seems to see/mention first; it is a vertical shmup (sorta touhou-ish) with the "kamilia's balls" song from k3. It plays nothing like k3 though... other than you can move in 4 directions. The patterns are fun to learn, and the RNG is very doable, but still difficult. The avoidance is pretty fun, it's hard, it took me like 20 attempts, but I didn't really care since the avoidance is supposed to be part of the boss, rather than just an afterthought. Boss 3 is visually and gameplay-wise the most impressive of the three, imo. Graphics are great, there's one segment that bothers me but it's ok since its sort of near the beginning, I guess. Bossrush is... bossrush. I don't really think k2s k3s sz2s or this games bossrush are good. They're all built to be blocks, and that just isn't good design. Bossrushes shouldn't exist solely to block the player for hours upon hours, I'm already in bossrush almost as long as everything else, and I've beaten one, and died on the last attack of the other. It's just straight up an awful design choice.

That's my take. (I'm not good at spacing my paragraphs so I just lumped it together)

TL;DR:
k3 clone or not its still fun
fun is the most important part
bosses are sweet
platformings cool
bossrush is bad as usual

This game is kind of the same thing as Happil 2. Some people would consider it good, and others would consider it to be bad. The reasoning for this is that the game was mainly a copy of Kamilia 3 (especially the first stage), but also had quite a bit of effort but into it (making it like Happil 2). Overall, I don't really like this game, but I know that there will be some people that will enjoy it.

A medley which is designed a whole lot like K3, with the main difference being that it's an actual challenge from the getgo. The platforming is for the most part pure needle, but there are a couple gimmicks and traps mixed in from here to there. The bosses are mainly duplicates of a boss from a different game, but with a segment from an avoidance mixed in towards the end. The bosses are really hard if you don't have good strategies, so I'd suggest you look into that if you want to play against them. Reaching the secrets and beating them is another very difficult challenge, as the backtracking and the actual secrets are almost never easy. I'd say that for the most part, they're a big contributor to my difficulty rating. The hidden bosses are also accessible from the beginning, so if you find them, you can fight them. I have not thoroughly investigated the hidden bosses, but they seem to be whole avoidances which are changed for at least some sense of difficulty balance. The bossrush is also very hard, taking the more challenging avoidances. A plethora of changes are made to the bosses, but most of them aren't that serious. After you beat the bossrush, there should be an area with the guest stages from the different volunteers of the game. They all are either avoidance/needle, and look to be especially difficult. I haven't seen them all, so I can't really judge, but some of them look very well done (I'm looking at you, Sasanoke). I have no idea what comes after the guest stages, so that's all my review will entail for now.
