The start of the game looks like generic shit, but underneath the shitty entry area there is a great game. You have 2 paths to beat that can be done in any order. Each path contains a mini boss and a real boss. The real bosses in this game are amazing and some of my favorite bosses in any fangame to the point where they justify you playing it.
Once the 2 paths are beat, you get access to one of the most iconic VVVVVV stages in any fangame. It culminates in an epic multiphase boss fight against Vridian and Vermillion that you will never forget.
A final path opens up that has some fairly tricky platforming at times, and a lot of traps mixed in. At the end you are rewarded with 2 more boss fights, the final one again being very memorable.
This is one of the old iconic fangames that everyone should really play.

The platforming is mostly just... No. Once you get to the VVVVVV stage though, the game becomes amazing.
The bosses are the definitive peak of this entire game; all of them are very great. Especially the last 2 ones blew my mind. It starts out bad but later on you'll realize that this is not a generic fangame.

I'm not really fond of the platforming, it has way too many generic traps, to the point where they ruin everything that could be good in the platforming, and the platforming itself is also tedious at some points. Sonic's stage (The one whose boss is Luigi, for some reason) and VVVVVV's stage are the only ones that are somewhat good (Some saves are still tedious, but at least there are decent saves at these).
At the beginning, there are two paths, each of them split into two parts, and each part has a boss. The first part has generic visuals, an the second part is themed after an old game. The boss of the first part acts like a mini-boss (There are no special effects at the beginning of the fight, their names aren't mentioned and they are really simple), and I didn't find any of the mini-bosses to be anything special. The true bosses, however, are quite well-made. Once you beat both paths, the game becomes linear, and you won't see mini-bosses anymore. There are still three bosses, though, all of them really good. One of them is a fight against Viridian and Vermillion, probably their patterns are probably the hardest patterns to learn in the game. The other one is my favorite, a mix of Device's Miku with Luigi, bringing lots of crazy effects, and it's just really good overall. The last one is your last showdown against Luigi, now Ultimate Luigi, combining powers from all the previous bosses (Aside from Device's Miku).
The platforming drags the game down a lot, but it might be worth playing for the bosses, since some of them are quite unique. Would still recommend.
